Not content with making some
ordinary fractals, I thought it
would be cool to make a metal
one. I must admit this piece
turned out much better than
expected. The original would
not work so I solarised it and
hey presto, perfect metal.
I called this Hypnotist as I
find if difficult looking at it
for too long, makes the eyes
go funny. The level of detail
is quite suprising, I do check
all the lo-res jpeg versions.
Creates a nice paradox with
XP icons with their shading. |

I'm a great fan of Egyptian art
and architecture and thought
of Thebes when I made this.
It's a basic fractal with a little
of my special meltdown magic
to give it that acylic finish.
Colors are done by hand post
rendering, like rhubarb candy.
This is a birds eye view above
a tornado in space, caused by
someone experimenting with
blackholes or a gravity drive.
This piece is really how it fell
out of the fractal machine.
Only tweaked the colors to
get a little more definition. |
