These are the male and female
seed pods being ejected from
a Tyranian rose, well I think so,
difficult to give fractals names.
I love the sense of scale with
this piece, emphasised by the
variety in size of the seed pods
some trying to mate already!
This was fractal before I played
with it, at one stage it looked
like a sponge cake! The spider's
nest has been incinerated by
Fire ants in payback for eating
their brothers, only right too.
For this I used a quick coat of
lacquer and a lots of coloring. |

Always experiment with plugins
and something interesting will
eventually come, like this one.
I wanted to create a DNA helix
but it didn't quite work out, but
I'm not disappointed with this.
The colors and textures only
had to be tweaked to finish it.
This poor defenceless apple is
getting some serious treatment
from the thorns, who probably
mutated after absorbing some
genetically modified weedkiller.
The ethereal finish is achieved
by the subtle use of the plastic
wrap plugin from Photoshop. |
